Because of a free week in the program both St Anns & Sneinton and Breaston Park decided to move this match forward a week to help the Y.E.L with any fixture congestion they might have.
A proper day for a winter cup fixture with a gloomy outlook didn't deter the buoyant mood of the SAS players as the confidence was again brimming.
It was a sloppy start to proceedings from both sides though.
SAS maybe due to over confidence and Breaston probably due to a rotton run of no wins since early September.
SAS, although bossing the game never got into their stride but still managed to create opportunities and should have been 2 or 3 goals to the good in the first 10 minutes but for woeful finishing.
Because of this, and the fact SAS couldn't control the game they should have found themselves a goal down on 2 occasions where Breaston Park breached an absent defense but again some woeful finishing and outstanding keeping from Gabriel Reast let them off the hook.
17 minutes in and the deadlock was finally broken.
Modoulamin Fatty doing his upmost to arrest game started to roam at will. After some great combination play between Oluafemi Efuwape, Tayonne Thomas and Fatty it was Fatty who broke free down the left hand side of the pitch attacking the Breaston box.
With composure after taking a look up he measured a slide rule pass into a gleeful Kelvin Enoma to score with ease from close range.
That was undoubtedly the highlight of the first half and to bring it home SAS would definitely need to step it up in the second.
After the break a different SAS took to the field and the play was much better. Finally the boys were getting into something resembling their groove and it didn't take long to get the 2nd goal.
Modoulamin Fatty and Oluafemi Efuwape were beginning to control the game now roaming up and down the pitch at will.
It was only fitting that Fatty grabbed the 2nd after 35mins with a solo effort.
Going past players with ease he slide the ball past a static keeper and the boys came to life after this.
He grabbed another four minutes later in the 39th after a fantastic defense splitting pass by Oluafemi Efuwape left him one on one and he again slid he ball confidently pass the keeper.
More chances came and went but after good work by Jamal Bennett, Fatty was free again and he again teed up Kelvin Enoma for his 2nd of the match after 47 minutes.
The game as a contest was over after goal no'2 and now SAS were doing whatever they wanted.
Fatty turned his marker inside out and after a cruff turn on the right hand edge of the box he curled a shot to the far left of the goal which nestled into the side netting. A picture book goal to tell his mates about at school. A lovely way to grab a hat trick.
Not to be left out of the goals, Juste Locke Nguette got on the score sheet after 54 minutes to wrap up the scoring after neat combination play between Tayonne Thomas and himself set up a shooting opportunity just outside the box which he dispatched with aplomb.
A thoroughly dominant second half display from SAS to make up for an uninspiring first, this contest was a walk in the park and a sign that maybe even Division 5 might not be a stern enough test of the ability of these boys.
On to round two...
